The story
In an eccentric and playful restaurant in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, you will find the bar stool Jupiter from Johanson Design based in Småland, Sweden, with pink plush and pink-lacquered legs. The restaurant is called Zalmhuis and the building dates from 1863 when it was home to a fish auction. Today, the restaurant has fish as a theme on their menu.
The architectural firm behind Zalmhuis is Eclect Interiors, led by architect Liselore Hell. The bar stool Jupiter was designed by Johansson's founder Börje Johanson in 1970.
The product has been in the range since then and is today an obvious classic that can be seen in a number of different shapes, thanks to Johansson's wide range of fabrics and RAL colors.
